SUPERMOON!
The supermoon of March 19, 2011 appeared large in the night sky behind the Grand Marais lighthouse on Lake Superior. The moon was in lunar perigee and appeared larger than it had in over 30 years. It was sweet!

Lutsen Ice Caves
With Lake Superior solid, it’s been so-so to walk along the shore on the ice. Taking advantage of the frozen lake, I wandered down to the Lutsen sea caves and crawled back into one of the ice caves just at sunset to get this picture.
