North Shore Adventure Photography Workshop

Adventure. North Shore. Photography. That equals the North Shore Adventure Photography Workshop. Set in mid-September when everything is between summer green and fall color, this workshop visits some of the locations seldom visited on my other workshops. It’s completely in the field with no formal classroom time, so it’s for advanced beginners and above. Expect early mornings, hikes in the dark to shooting locations, potentially breakfast and lunches in the field and plenty of time to shoot at your own pace. You could consider this more of a photo tour than an instructional workshop, but I’ll be around to answer questions and give suggestions. This will be an adventure.

Description

Itinerary

The itinerary will be fluid based on the conditions. We will take advantage of as much of the light as we can and visit some areas that are deep within the woods of Cook County. You can expect adventure on this north shore photography workshop.

  • Sunrise Time: 6:40am
  • Sunset Time: 7:10pm

Day 1 & 2: Sunrise to sunset in the field. We’ll visit various locations in Cook County. There will be some waterfalls and overlooks and a bit of Lake Superior as well. The locations we visit will depend on the participants with the goal of putting everyone into new locations that they haven’t visited before or in locations where they have seldom gone.

Day 3: Workshop ends after sunrise and the morning golden hour, which usually last about an hour after sunrise.

Level of Physical Difficulty

This workshop may involve hikes up to 2 or 3 miles. Trails will be easy to moderate but may have short difficult sections. You should be moderately fit to participate in this workshop. Sunrise or sunset may involve walking to or out of the location in the dark. If you have any questions about your ability to keep up with the group, please, call me at 218-370-8351 to discuss.
